Workspaces as separate entities

I am curious why Workspaces aren't treated as separate entities, meaning e.g. that they could have their own selection of sidebar items and background image. I understand there might be some resource challenges and possibly how Opera is structured (some of the features are grouped under "Settings", but it doesn't really act like separate workspaces if you can't turn them truly into separate workspaces. At the moment they are just another means to manage "having too many tabs open".
Being neurodivergent, I understand that our (generally speaking) curiosity and requests for features will work against us, as Opera Air might end up no longer being "simple" and "tranquil" as intended, but the power to control our environment is how we manage our lives. As long as the browser interaction stays simple, the power to control (functionality) can run deep.
